Once in the open position the clamp is ready to accept the insertion of the stripped conductor. Close the lever flush with the body and the connection is complete. To reuse the connector simply open the lever and the connector can be reused. There is also a test point in the base of the housing.

    Q&A
    • From Dave Hughes at 22/04/2016 18:41. Was this helpful?  Yes   No
I am Connecting 2, 2.5mm twin and earth cables together as part of a ring main, I would like to use Wago 221 compact connectors can I use a 5 port connector and have the two earth conductors sharing one port?
      Thanks
      Dave.
Each port on a Wago connector is designed to clamp a single cable. We would not advise trying to clamp more than one cable in a single port.
